UK-EU Negotiations

Level: Advanced

The UK-EU Negotiations Committee is a small committee for experienced delegates.

It follows a different format to typical MUN committees, as it requires delegates to adapt in real time to fast-changing events. Rather than expecting delegates to be well prepared on their debate topic prior to the conference, UK-EU Negotiations committees pit delegates against dynamic situational updates, with delegates’ ability to adapt to such changes, in a manner most advantageous for their particular character, being of the utmost importance.

The Committee's Rules of Procedure will be released soon ahead of our Position Paper due date for delegates.

 Sharif Kazemi

Vice President

Sharif Kazemi

TBC, Iranian

Occupation: International Relations and History student at the London School of Economic's

MUN Experience: Hello, my name is Sharif and I hail from sunny Iran! For the past nine years, I've been calling (not-so-sunny) London as my home and I'll be entering the last year of my undergraduate studying International Relations and History at the LSE. One of my very first MUN conferences was CuiMUN back in ye olden times of 2017, so it's a real treat to return to that lovely city to chair the Negotiations Committee. Last year I had the honour of being the LSE UN Society's president and I'm a dyed in the wool #TeamLSE fanatic.

Hobbies: When I'm not running around with my hair on fire, I enjoy seeing my friends at every conceivable moment and annoy them by retelling funny anecdotes for the 1000th time!

Fun Fact: Sharif hates fun facts.
